Video Games That You Think Should Never Make It To The Big Screen

Okay so each year or so, there always happens to be that video game series that is selected for a live action adaptation. However, not all of these movies are really that good. It's almost like the sole intent of the directors is to skew the movie down to corny acting, repetitive and blah plots, and worst of all, the newfound shame brought to the video game series. Anyway, what I'm trying to ask you guys is, What video game series do you think Hollywood should leave alone!? In other words, what video game or series is far too epic to portray through 90 minutes of film and bad acting?

In my opinion... The Legend of Zelda, you can have any other game, but please no... just don't.

    AS cheesy and stupid as it was, I kinda liked Super Mario Brothers, I was young when it came out and I nostalgia hard over it

    While I think that Metal Gear Solid could make for an interesting movie, it would no doubt be destroyed by Hollywood.

    Anything can be adapted into good movie, its naive to think otherwise. Video games just have the problem of no good directors or writers being behind them to do a serious job at it. Because the industry doesn't take them seriously, it took a while for the industry to even look at comic books seriously for movies.

    LoZ would be a challenge though since then main character doesn't really speak.

    id like it if they made a zelda movie but something like fucking lord of the rings but more epic. i will pay $100 just to watch a 5 hour movie with effects greater then lord of the rings and avatar of zelda

    Only a few game to movie adaptions I can imagine actually being good. One of them would be Uncharted.

    I don't care what anyone says. The Resident Evil movies suck, are completely ridiculous, and should never have been made. All they do is take the setting and the characters and just swish everything around in their mouths until they spit it out all distorted and messed up.
    If anyone has seen the first movie and played RE4:
    Don't you think the part in RE4 where Leon dodges the lasers in a quick time event is a little shot at the first movie? (Cause in the movie the people don't dodge the lasers.)

    Tomb Raider was not so bad. I remember a movie where kids use Nintendo Power glove and win the game. Forgot the name, but the girl were hot in the movie.

    I liked the Super Mario movie,but that may have been because I was young. I also liked the Mortal Kombat movies, but again, I was naive child.

    I'd say Metroid. Any attempt at adding character to Samus beyond "She fights space pirates for bounty money" is a recipe for disaster.

    Agreed, Zelda should have been left alone. It is cool that some people think the idea of a video game turned movie is a worthwhile endeavor, but without a competent, and lets face it, a PERSONAL GAMER as a DIRECTOR, things almost never go right. I'd like to say Tomb Raider were good movies, but have never truly played the games. Another bad example I think, is Prince of Persia
